"Not Waving But Drowning" or "misjudgment"
I can’t remember a time when I have misjudged someone or something as much as when I was going into the 8th grade. I thought that the school, Saint Andrews Episcopal School, would be horrible because of the people and the school uniform. As the year went on I began to like it. In the beginning I thought the uniform would not only remove my sense of individuality but also would make me feel that I am being molded into their model of a perfect person. However, later in the school year I began to realize that because of the uniforms I was free from the habitual question of what to wear to school. Also there was next to no teasing on what other students wore to school. In retrospect, I can see more of the good that the school uniforms provided. It was really sort of comforting to know I misjudged the school. Also, I thought that the students there would be either stuck up, or unfriendly. They all proved me wrong. In fact they were some of he nicest people I have ever met. I think I made more friends there than anywhere else I have ever lived.
