14-15

It was really sad that Beah’s child hood hero was Rambo, what makes it worse is that that not only didn’t he know it was fiction he also has the means to copy him. It was sad that he had fallen so far that even killing was alright. Another sad thing was when Beah wanted toe kill the prisoner to win the competition. Probably the saddest part was when the army boys attacked the rebel boys.

12-13

The memories and dreams he had during this chapter were really sad. I think that the beginning oh Beah’s spiral down was incredible sad and I think it was unfair of the solders to threaten and brainwash the people into fighting for them. Also the first shot he takes and the first pill he took are both important times.

ch3-5

these chapters are relay sad and horrible, his violent experiences are hardening him and it is unfair that nether army is actually fighting for the people. and it is incredibly sad that they are deteriorating so rapidly

ch 1-2

These chapters 1-2 were depressing and I am so sad that people could do this to other people. I am saddened and that people thought that it was cool. It was almost foreboding in the beginning with the refugees. The detail in witch the author describes these events is shocking. I felt sort of depressed by reading this but I would have been more struck by it if I didn’t already know what the major plot points were.
